It is a foregone conclusion that too much of the media “leans left” or worse--the 2008 campaign season and elections are proof enough of that. That is our assessment and strongly-held belief. This site is an effort to resist that thunderous bandwagon which “Big Media” demands we all join, marching obediently in place to its leftist tune.
We define “Big Media” as what some call “the mainstream media,” the majority of the media which has a distinct liberal bias, and which openly and without shame favored Barack Obama in the 2008 election. We have grown tired of the influence which Big Media tries to have in our lives and in the direction of our country, as well as the unfair portrayal of that which Big Media does not favor. We are not proposing “hate” toward the media or the Left, or name-calling or dastardly actions–none of that is appropriate, nor is it necessary.
Instead, we invite you to think for yourself. Do not let the liberal "talking heads" in the media decide what you think or believe, and resist their attempts to pass off their perceptions as your reality. On this site, in the "See the Columns" section a number of columns are presented which address Big Media’s bias and issues facing our country. We invite you to read these columns, and to please pass this link on to your friends and email contacts. Three of our columns were selected "conservative must reads" by townhall.com, though that site credited another website for the columns rather than ours [we occasionally post some of our columns on other sites]. We would invite you to read townhall.com and email them with a request to check out our columns on this site.

In a few days we hope to post a link to "parody" songs that take a humorous look at liberal Democrats' latest "stimulus" bill and the many bailouts that have and continue to take place. The author of this site wrote new lyrics to a couple of well-known songs, and those songs were recently recorded. Stay tuned...
The author of this site, and the columns that appear, are not a “front” for any candidate or political party, and the author is not an “insider” in the political world. The author does have opinions, and expresses those, as all of us are entitled to, and tries to do so in a way that is informative, interesting, and perhaps entertaining to the reader.
Also, about these “columns”: part of this material is part of a forthcoming book by the author, and some of the columns are “written” by two of the characters of the book, so the collective “we” is used in those columns and on this site. The author recognized that this book would not be published prior to Election Day, and started this site about five weeks prior to the election, and posted some 33 columns and an audio clip prior to Election Day. The columns continue, usually on a weekly basis.
Remember.....We can do something about Big Media’s liberal bias.
First, turn them off. Watch something else, read something else, do something else. Don’t vegetate in front of Big Media’s news programs or network shows. We suspect there are no awards in the next life for who watched the most TV in this one. There are alternatives from which to obtain “the news.” We have a link entitled “Get The News” which lists several sources.
Second, think for yourself. You don’t have to be “told” what to think–or how to vote–by leftists on the tube or in liberal newspapers and magazines.
Third, stay focused! Now that the election is over, and Big Media continues to ignore issue after issue, such as why ACORN is the intended recipient of billions of dollars in the so-called "stimulus" package, why a "stimulus" package is loaded to the brim with pork-barrel projects to a level never before seen (just to mention a couple), it is even more important that you stay informed and not be "lulled to sleep" by a biased media. The level of influence of Big Media in this country was, unfortunately, amply illustrated in its efforts to derail first the candidacy of Hillary Clinton, and then that of McCain/Palin, in its full-court-press to elect Barack Obama. Obviously, Big Media succeeded in those efforts. Now is no time to simply hang one's head and "check out" of today's political reality--we need to stay informed and active.
Fourth, please read the columns here, and come back for new ones, and tell your friends and forward them links to our columns–including those who don't seem to realize we are at a crisis point in this country, and that spending billions on pork projects is not going to bring us out of the economic portion of that crisis. We don't ask for donations on this site, we don't carry ads, and we don't have the means to advertise anywhere else. We've also learned that it is extremely hard to get established outlets, be those media, conservative websites, or others, to even mention or reference this site, as stated above. So, how much this site gets noticed is largely dependent on you, the reader. If you like what you see and read, please let others know...
