Can we even express how low a blow that is? "No class whatsoever" doesn’t even come close to stating how bad that is. Is the Obama campaign proud of that one, even though it wasn’t it’s own ad? Does Joe Biden think that one is "terrible"? The Obama campaign can’t avoid criticism for that by merely saying "it wasn’t our ad"–well, the ad which mocked John McCain because he doesn’t use email was their ad, one which made fun of him and portrayed him as "out of touch" when, in fact, he has difficulty using a computer keyboard due to his injuries suffered while a prisoner of war in service to his country.
Is America going to endorse such lowness by electing Barack Obama? Since John McCain is not "their" candidate, Big Media is making every effort to portray him as "old" and "out of touch." Do you think they are familiar with the concept that "with age comes wisdom"? That we might want to have some legitimate concern and valid hesitation in trusting the reins of our government, in particular, and our society, in general, to the whims of a 40-something first-term radically liberal senator, who has no real accomplishments on the national stage, other than running for president for almost the entire short time he has been in the U. S. Senate?
In today’s America, the leftists and Big Media want the rest of us to accept the concept of a "savior" president, which, in their minds, is Barack Obama. We don’t need a "savior" as president. We reserve that category for our God. What we really need is a real leader–someone who is bold and decisive, and who doesn’t need a teleprompter, flashing cameras, and fainting supporters to be in his element.
The Left and Big Media are very frustrated that John McCain is the Republican nominee for President and Sarah Palin is the Republican nominee for Vice-President. It wasn’t supposed to be that way. Big Media and the Left would have a much easier time had the nominees been what they would label as "right-wing idealogues." Instead, they got two mavericks, two reformers, who don’t care whose toes get stepped on or whose self-serving ox gets gored, so long as the American people are being served and their interests are paramount–not those of the special interests and the "usual suspects" of the D. C. crowd.
Big Media just can’t stand it. They had it all worked out, with their "star" celebrity candidate. They even sunk Hillary Clinton to make their plan a reality. But, then "along came John." And Sarah. That makes them feel sick, and causes them to attack, and attack with a vengeance, in the most unfair manner possible. On top of that, Big Media rolls out poll after poll telling us that according to 798 people, or perhaps 1,001, Obama is "ahead" among the 120 million or more who are likely to vote–there couldn’t be any bias or inaccuracy in that, could there? At the same time, Big Media largely ignores the serious voter fraud allegations that have been made against ACORN, a partisan "non-partisan" group with whom Obama has a long history.
We’ve said it before, and apologize if you are tired of hearing it. But, seriously, folks. Are you going to let that happen? You can make the difference on Election Day! The pundits would have said it isn’t possible for supporters of Hillary Clinton and supporters of Mitt Romney to agree on much of anything. But, they were wrong. You can go to newsmax.com and read Ken Timmerman’s latest article, "Hillary Backers Decry Massive Obama Vote Fraud" and wonder, along with us, how that story got ignored by Big Media during the primary season. Kind of like Big Media is doing now with ACORN. You can also feel dismayed and disgusted that those kind of things have allegedly occurred and helped propel Obama to where he is today. All the more reason for you and your friends to go out and vote on Election Day.
We are familiar with a local race for mayor that occurred in an average American small city some years ago. The incumbent had accomplished much in a few short years, was results oriented, but not particularly enamored with "playing politics" around town. His opponent was more of a populist, in touch with "the folks" and never missed a chance to mix and mingle. The incumbent was defeated, and it wasn’t really that close. We later ran into people who expressed extreme surprise at the result. They assumed the accomplished mayor would be easily reelected. Then we asked them: "did you go vote?" They hung their heads and admitted they had not. We said: "then why are you surprised he lost?"
We were not meaning to be cruel in stating the obvious. That really wasn’t the only reason for the result. Both of those candidates were decent people. But here’s the point: in that case, a bunch of people assumed one candidate they favored "had it in the bag" and didn’t bother to vote, and he lost. If all those who "assumed" the incumbent was going to win had gone and voted, he probably would have won.
Today, Big Media and the Left have done and are doing all they can to create the unstoppable conclusion that Obama already has the election in hand, and that there’s really nothing you or we can do about that, so why bother to show up and vote for McCain/Palin. "We say it, so it must be as we say it is." Don’t fall for that routine! One of the most famous photos in American political history is of a smiling Harry Truman holding up a newspaper, the day after the election, with a huge headline that said, "Dewey Wins!" Dewey had led the polls up to the election. Kind of missed on that one, didn’t they?
John McCain and Sarah Palin represent the real "change" in this election. You don’t have to agree with them on everything to know that is so. Some to the left of them won’t get everything they want from the two of them. Some to the right won’t, either. But, "country first" will be well-served.
Isn’t that what we really need at this point in time?
